General Secretary of Equal Education (EE), a national youth-led movement campaigning for equitable, quality education.

She grew up in Kwamagxaki near Port Elizabeth, the youngest of five children; daughter of Presbyterian church ministers

Noncedo’s path into activism was through witnessing disparities firsthand attending church services in under-resourced township schools, despite studying at a better-funded school.
She joined Equal Education in 2012 as a volunteer tutor and facilitator, introducing learners to public policy and structural inequities.
Noncedo rose in Equal Education, starting in 2012 as a trainer, then to Western Cape organising lead to national General Secretary by 2018.
What pushes Noncedo in her work is to advocate for grassroots and national advocacy for learner rights, school infrastructure, and public education confidence.
