These Governance Principles guide C20’s engagement with the G20, ensuring that civil society’s voice remains influential in global decision-making. Through adherence to these principles, C20 upholds the values of transparency, inclusivity, and independence while continuously striving to improve global governance in the interest of people and the planet.

The Governance Principles of C20 ensure that civil society’s engagement in the G20 process is transparent, inclusive, and sustainable. These principles guide C20’s operations and influence its work, ensuring it is a robust platform for global civil society to advocate for social, economic, and environmental justice.

Global Character

C20 is an inclusive, global platform that welcomes participation from organizations of all sizes and regions. Civil society groups from G20 and non-G20 countries are invited to take part in C20’s work, contributing to a diverse and balanced representation of global issues. Our goal is to ensure that every region’s voice is heard, and that the priorities of people worldwide are addressed.

Transparency

C20 is dedicated to full transparency in its work. Every step, from formulating policy recommendations to issuing final documents, is conducted openly. All materials are shared widely for input, ensuring that decisions result from inclusive consultations. Independence

Human Rights, Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment
