Greer Schoeman

Greer  Schoeman is a policy strategist and researcher with over a decade of experience in multi-stakeholder coordination, institutional strengthening, and rights-based advocacy across South Africa and the region. She has worked with UNAIDS, South African National AIDS Council and leading civil society platforms to drive inclusive policy development, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and lead research on HIV, gender equity, and structural inequality. Her expertise spans participatory governance, policy translation, and the integration of marginalised voices into national development strategies. 

She serves on the board of the National Shelter Movement of South Africa, contributing to national efforts to strengthen responses to gender-based violence. As a former Kader Asmal Fellow and past Chair of the Alumni Association, she led resource mobilisation and built initiatives to support skills development and employment pathways for returning fellows. 

Greer completed her undergraduate studies at the African Gender Institute housed at the University of Cape Town and completed her Masters in Social Policy at University College Cork, Ireland.
